Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains how Laurelworth Digital ("we", "I", "me") collects and uses personal data when you visit this website or get in touch. Laurelworth Digital is the data controller for this information and processes it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data is collected
- Enquiry details you submit through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, phone number, company name, project details and budget range.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected for security and performance.
- Client project data shared during a project, which is governed by the project agreement.
How your data is used
- To reply to your enquiry and provide quotes (lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
- To deliver and invoice for services (lawful basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation).
- To keep this website secure and working properly (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
Your data is never sold, and you will not be added to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
Who your data is shared with
Data is shared only with trusted providers that help run the business — such as website hosting, email delivery and accounting software — under contracts that require them to protect it. Where providers transfer data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement are in place.
How long data is kept
Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted within 12 months. Client and financial records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
Cookies
This website uses only strictly necessary storage — for example, to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested where required.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You will receive a response within one month.
If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
